Seascape is a 1984 Macgregor 25, docked at Watergate Marina in Clear Lake Shores, Texas, and sailed on Galveston Bay. This boat was purchased in September, 2001 and while she was in very good condition when aquired, quite a few upgrades have been made by me. This is a list of what's been done so far:

Exterior -

  • Brand new 2002 Mercury 5 HP 4-Stroke outboard.
  • CDI FF2 roller furler, with new 150% genoa headsail. Mainstay was replaced with new 3/16" rigging, including a turnbuckle on the lower end and toggles on each end.
  • New oversized rudder, custom built out of mahogony with glass reinforcement at the pivot.
  • Solar vent with battery backup.
  • Full companionway sunbrella cover.
  • Companionway and hatch cover wood pieces were replaced with mahogony.
  • Lifeline covers.
  • Jiffy reefing on the mainsail.
  • New tiller with tiller tender.

Interior -
  • All new cushions.
  • AM/FM CD player.
  • 30 amp shore power, with two 110 outlets aboard.
  • New table with ceramic tile and mahogony top.
  • Complete fixed galley with propane stove, stainless steel sink with a 6 gallon freshwater tank, 1.8 cubic foot refrigerator.
  • Three stage battery charger.
  • New group 27 deep cycle battery.

The galley is permanently mounted on the port side and is built around a 1.8 cubic foot refrigerator. The cabinet on the left below the sink and the slide out cabinet on the right provide extra dry storage.
